DOD not opening WAD files

Is anyone else having trouble opening .wad files. That's the error I'm getting. It started on snow_arena (couldn't open arena8.wad) and black_yellow map (I forget the rest of the map name. I know this map has trouble with some people) and now daltons_bridge (couldn't open daltons.wad error).

Just wondering if anyone else is having troubles getting into the game or if I'm doing something wrong.

I have the same problem. when it to some maps like dod_silver it wont download it. so when the server is at the map im out of luck. any input would be much appreciate it.

you may have a corrupt map file, try going into your DOD folder then into maps and delete the map that won't open when you try to join that map, it will re download the map.

I had the same issue yesterday on snow arena...didnt try the other two

What i did was just when on Google and downloaded the map .wad file and copy and paste in my dod folder.

Computer/c: drive/programs files/steam/steamapps/<user name>/day of defeat/dod

That's were I put the files in and it worked afterwards fine.

dod_silver.wad and dod_green_afk_final.wad are the only ones that it did not want to download so far and I couldn't play. Now that I downloaded them and put them in the right folder, it works fines now.

this is the site that I use to download the .wad files from. I hope this helps out anyone with the same problem.

The files on the server are corrupt. I downloaded one directly from the FTP the server info resides on and had the same problem. We need to compile a list of the problem maps so we can replace the wads. Uhhhh hhuhaa I said wads..

aac_true_gold
another one
cstrike.wad
map loading: acc_assault_upc

dod_chinagaojia.wad to that list.

Replaced ALL the wad files with fresh ones. Pleas let me know if they are still broken.
